This is a video (not taken by me) from my first ever Jonas Brothers concert on 11/30/07. It was right around the time they started becoming really popular and only the second time they had ever played “A Little Bit Longer” for the fans. When he started playing/singing the song, everyone began singing along and he was stunned that everyone already knew the words. He then poured his heart out on stage more than I have ever seen him do so and changed the words to “You’ve touched me here today. I wish that I could stay. A little bit longer, and I’ll be fine.” It was one of the best and most memorable moments of my life and I will never forget it.
I can’t help but remember how important the Jonas Brothers and their music was to me at that time. It’s all still important to me now. But back then, I literally had no friends and suffered from depression and severe social anxiety. As silly as this may sound to other people, the Jonas Brothers was the only thing that made me happy. Not only their music, but how great they were to their fans. I spent hours on end watching interviews and their silly youtube videos and it brought me so much joy. They touched my life in so many ways and, to this day, I feel so honored that I, along with everyone else who was in that room, was able to touch even one of the members of a band that means so much to me.
Via I probably hate you.
